Rangers were beaten 4-0 by RB Leipzig in a one-sided friendly in Germany on Sunday.

Timo Werner and Scotland international Oliver Burke put the hosts in front at the break and Yussuf Poulsen's second-half double added to Rangers' misery in the wintry conditions in Saxony.

The visitors handed a debut to new loan signing Jon Toral but they fell behind after 21 minutes when Werner was sent clear through the middle and he rounded goalkeeper Wes Foderingham to score.

Scotland winger Burke made it 2-0 before the break having been set up by the excellent Werner before Toral saw his effort chalked off for offside.

Mark Warburton made four changes at half-time with another January arrival Emerson Hyndman coming on for his Light Blues bow.

But he could do little to suppress the Germans' dominance as Poulsen took advantage of more lax defending to make it 3-0 just after the hour before substitute Martyn Waghorn was crowded out when well placed with 15 minutes remaining.
