An unnamed English club could beat Las Palmas to the signature of unsettled Paris Saint-Germain winger Jese Rodriguez, according to the La Liga club's president.
Jese has failed to establish himself at PSG since a big-money move from Real Madrid last summer and he is expected to leave the Ligue 1 champions on loan this month.
The Spaniard reportedly wants to move to his hometown club Las Palmas, although Middlesbrough and Liverpool have both been linked with his services in the Spanish press.
Spanish reports have also claimed that Las Palmas are unable to cover all of Jese's salary, and their president Miguel Angel Ramirez has suggested that one of the forward's Premier League-based suitors is willing to do so.
When asked about Jese, Ramirez told Marca: "Today [Monday] I have been speaking with his representative and there is an English club that wants to pay all of it."
Jese joined PSG from Real Madrid for €25m last August, but has made only one Ligue 1 start all season.
The 23-year-old scored 18 goals in 96 appearances for Real.
