Barcelona's head coach Ernesto Valverde thinks Ousmane Dembele should keep taking all the opportunities he can get.

Dembele scored his first goal in 12 appearances since signing for the La Liga leaders from Borussia Dortmund in their 3-0 win over Chelsea in the Champions League last-16 tie at the Nou Camp.

But the French forward was not only praised for his attacking performance by his boss.

"He worked a lot in attack and made a crucial defensive display. He took a step forward," said Valverde.

"We hope he keeps taking advantage of the opportunities he gets. He had the injuries, and was coming from a different team and a different type of football.

"He has to adapt to how we play in attack and defence."
