Manuel Neuer signs new five-year deal at Bayern Munich until 2021

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has signed a new five-year contract at Bayern Munich, which will run until 2021.

The 30-year old goalkeeper, who won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, joined Bayern in 2011 from Schalke. 

He has payed 248 times for the German champions, winning the Bundesliga in 2013, 2014 and 2015, as well as the Champions League in 2013.

Neuer has 64 caps for Germany, and has committed his future having last month denied reports he would be retiring from football after turning 30.

"I feel fit and well," he said. "I know that I have to look after my health, but turning 30 is no reason to start considering the end of my career.

"I love playing football every day. I love working hard, I love training, I love the games, I love the challenge."

It means Neuer is the fifth Bayern player to commit to the Munich club until 2021 alongside Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller, David Alaba and Javi Martinez.
