Blackburn v Lincoln preview

Bradley Dack

Blackburn could have Bradley Dack back for the Carabao Cup clash at home to Lincoln City.

The midfielder has missed Rovers' last two Championship games with a knee injury but he might be involved in some capacity during Tuesday night's second-round tie.

Rovers put out a very strong team at Carlisle in the previous round and that is expected to be the case once more against Lincoln, with new loan signing Harrison Reed possibly set for a debut. However, Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray is set to be without Adam Armstrong (ankle) and Dominic Samuel (knee).

With one eye on Saturday's top-of-the-table clash at Exeter, Lincoln boss Danny Cowley is set to make significant changes to his team. The likes of Neal Eardley, Michael Bostwick, Lee Frecklington, Michael O'Connor, John Akinde and Bruno Andrade will be rested at Ewood Park.

Scott Wharton, Matt Rhead, Matt Green and Ellis Chapman will be among those players who come into the starting line-up. "We will make changes and use the squad, our priority is the league," Cowley told the club's official website. "There is very little between the players, we will need everyone to contribute for the two games this week."
