Wayne Rooney made history at Wembley on Tuesday night.

The Manchester United striker scored his 50th international goal to seal a 2-0 victory for England against Switzerland and overtake Sir Bobby Charlton's long-held record.

Rooney's celebration in the 84th minute of the European Qualifier was full of emotion after he slammed a penalty high into the roof of the net past Yann Sommer. Raheem Sterling had been tripped to win the spot-kick.
