Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan is back in the Germany squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers after 11 months out.
World champions Germany face the Czech Republic on October 8 before hosting Northern Ireland three days later, live on Sky Sports 1, as they continue their campaign to reach the 2018 Russia World Cup.
Gundogan last played for Germany against France in November's friendly last year. The 25-year-old dislocated his kneecap towards the end of last season, subsequently ruling him out of Euro 2016.
However, the midfielder, who also missed the 2014 World Cup in Brazil due to injury, has played in Manchester City's last four games, scoring his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win over Bournemouth, and has now been recalled to Joachim Low's 23-man squad.
Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi and Mesut Ozil are also included in the selection, both of whom have featured prominently in the Gunners' strong start to the new season.
Meanwhile, Will Grigg will not feature in Northern Ireland's World Cup European Qualifiers against San Marino and Germany after asking to sit out the games for personal reasons.
