Seattle Sounders cruised to a 3-1 victory over Orlando City in the MLS on Sunday night in a match that included one of the worst misses you are likely to see.

Clint Dempsey struck a hat-trick to cancel out Seb Hines' early opener as the Seattle proved too too strong for Orlando at the Orland Citrus Bowl Stadium.

But the victory could have been by an even wider margin for the visitors if Nelson Valdez had kept his composure in front of goal.

With the ball rolled across goal to him, the 32-year-old somehow managed to miss an open goal, hitting the post from six yards!

Valdez has failed to score a regular season goal in 20 appearances with his unsuccessful run totalling 1,048 regular season minutes.

He will certainly not get a better chance to end his barren spell!
