St Johnstone striker Steven MacLean has signed a one-year contract extension with the Scottish Premiership club.

The 33-year-old, who scored Saints' goal in their 3-1 defeat at Celtic Park last weekend, has been at McDiarmid Park since joining from Yeovil Town in the summer of 2012.

In a statement St Johnstone said: "We are delighted to announce that striker Steven MacLean has signed a contract extension with the club of one year, taking him to May 2017, and a further one-year option.

"The striker has netted 32 goals in his time with Saints and was back on the score sheet last weekend at Celtic Park."

Meanwhile, St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright says there have been "no further bids" for striker Michael O'Halloran, who was linked with a move to Championship side Rangers earlier this month.
