Oldham v Plymouth preview

Oldham boss Richie Wellens is facing a defensive dilemma as he attempts to end a run of eight League One games without a victory against Plymouth.

The Latics head into the game with George Edmundson suspended following his red card during last Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Peterborough.

With a hamstring injury having ruled out Rob Hunt, Wellens could yet be dealt a further blow as skipper Anthony Gerrard battles to shake off a thigh problem. Wellens' men have slipped to third bottom of the table amid a run of 12 league games which has seen them win just once since November.

Plymouth boss Derek Adams will be without defender Jordan Bentley for the rest of the season. Bentley suffered a broken leg during training this week and has undergone surgery to repair his fibula and tibia.

Adams hopes the 18-year-old former trainee, who had a brief loan spell with Sutton United earlier this season, will be back in action in six months. Forward Simon Church will be hoping to make his first start for the club after joining from Scunthorpe earlier this month.
