Shrewsbury moved five points clear of the League One relegation zone with a 2-0 win against play-off contenders Doncaster.
Josh Laurent and Tyrese Campbell were on target in the first half as the Shrews climbed to 17th in the table.
Both Fejiri Okenabirhie and Campbell forced fine early saves from Doncaster goalkeeper Marko Marosi before Shrewsbury's bright start was rewarded with an 18th-minute breakthrough.
The visitors were unable to clear a corner and Laurent found the corner of the net with a composed finish from the edge of the penalty area.
Campbell doubled Shrewsbury's advantage in the 35th minute. The Stoke loanee was picked out by Greg Docherty and finished coolly past Marosi for his third goal in as many games.
Doncaster, who remain sixth, pushed forward in search of a way back into the match in the second half.
Goalkeeper Steve Arnold saved from Mallik Wilks and the visitors were also unable to turn the ball home from a goalmouth scramble before Kieran Sadlier volleyed a late chance over the crossbar from close range.
