Southend vs Burton preview
Sunday 21 April 2019 12:50, UK
Southend boss Kevin Bond could again make changes for the visit of Burton as the relegation-battlers look to end their 15-match winless run.
Goalkeeper Mark Oxley returned along with Elvis Bwomono, Michael Turner, Dru Yearwood, Taylor Moore and fit-again forward Harry Bunn for the draw at Walsall, where the home side scored a controversial last-minute penalty.
Winger Stephen McLaughlin was on the bench following his recovery from a calf problem, so could come into contention along with midfielder Luke Hyam, who is fit again after a hamstring issue. Full-back Jason Demetriou, though, has been ruled out of the rest of the season by a knee injury.
Burton goalkeeper Brad Collins faces a fitness test on a groin problem picked up in training. Collins missed Friday's home defeat by Portsmouth and veteran Stephen Bywater could again deputise.
Captain Jake Buxton is another doubt as the defender looks to shake off a calf strain. Winger David Templeton has been ruled out for the rest of the season after needing knee surgery.
