A first league win of the season lifted Hamburg off the bottom of the Bundesliga, as they battled to a 2-1 win over Stuttgart. Martin Harnik gave Stuttgart an 18th minute lead when Hamburg goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny spilled Zdravko Kuzmanovic's long-range effort. And Stuttgart could have added another four minutes later but Cacau hit the post from close range. Hamburg, who had interim coach Rodolfo Cardoso and sports director Frank Arnesen in the dugout after Monday's sacking of Michael Oenning, upped their game. On-loan Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma headed an equaliser five minutes after half-time and Robert Tesche grabbed the winner with a spectacular volley after 67 minutes.
