Cameroon international Pierre Webo gave Mallorca the lead in the first half only for Bednar to equalise six minutes after the break.
West Brom suffered a blow on 13 minutes when Neil Clement was forced to limp off with a knee problem and he was replaced by Pele.

Bednar missed a great chance to give West Brom the lead on 64 minutes when he found himself with an open goal, only for Marti to deny him with a last-gasp block.
The Baggies continued to push for a winner and skipper Jonathan Greening came close to scoring in the final minutes when his deflected effort was saved by Mallorca goalkeeper German Lux.
