Wycombe 0-0 Oxford Utd

Wycombe and Oxford remain at the wrong end of the League One table after a frustrating 0-0 draw at Adams Park as both failed to take their chances.

Adebayo Akinfenwa appeared to have given the hosts a vital win in injury time, but his headed goal was ruled out as the two sides were forced to settle for a point apiece.

The home side were forced to make a change after only eight minutes when Anthony Stewart limped off, while the game had to be halted for nearly 10 minutes when Cameron Brannagan had to be carried off with a nasty head injury.

An accidental clash of heads with team-mate Cameron Norman left Stewart poleaxed on the ground before being forced off.

Wycombe striker Craig Mackail-Smith headed wide just before the half hour mark, but it was the visitors who had the better chances in the first half.

Jonathan Obika headed over, Shandon Baptiste shot wide and Gavin Whyte should have done better with two good opportunities.

But if it had not been for a fine save from Wycombe keeper Ryan Allsop from Ricky Holmes' goal-bound strike, then the U's would have been in front.

Fred Onyedinma shot wide, Akinfenwa had a header saved and Josh Ruffles had an effort blocked in the second half, but neither side could find the back of net despite 16 minutes of injury time.
