Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor takes a closer look at the huge job that Arne Slot has on his hands at Liverpool this summer

Liverpool are set to have a busy summer transfer window - so what is next for the Anfield club?

There is a lot of speculation about how Liverpool move on after failing to gain a trophy this season and losing their status as reigning Premier League champions.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are leaving the club on free transfers, but there is more speculation in the air - including about head coach Arne Slot.

With the futures of Alisson Becker and Ibrahima Konate also up in the air, Sky Sports takes a look at the latest transfer updates from Liverpool...

Slot set to get new coaching staff member

Arne Slot will be able to bring in another trusted member of staff this summer, with Etienne Reijnen expected to join his backroom team.

It is another boost for the Dutchman, who is expected to remain at Liverpool this summer.

Reijnen was Slot's assistant at Feyenoord. Slot wanted to bring his fellow Dutchman with him to Liverpool in 2024 but the club could not get a work permit.

Diomande is the top winger target

Take a look at all of the reasons why Yan Diomande is high on the radar of clubs from across the world.

RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande appears to be Liverpool's first choice target to replace Salah.

There is big competition for his signature and Diomande is just one of the players Liverpool have identified as a potential signing for the right side of their attack.

Liverpool are taking a composite approach to replacing Salah as they do not see anyone out there as a like-for-like replacement, especially in terms of the numbers.

There is even an argument to say they've already got someone like him in the squad, albeit from the opposite wing, given the way Rio Ngumoha tries to cut in and curl into the far post.

They have Jeremie Frimpong as an option who can operate further forward. But Liverpool are expected to add a wide attacking option and possibly another central option too given the Achilles injury that saw Hugo Ekitike miss the end of the season.

The job to replace Salah started last summer with the reshaping of their forward line and the acquisitions of Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

Those two players are arguably different to the No 9s we'd seen Liverpool using in the past - certainly a lot different to Roberto Firmino and more capable of producing bigger numbers than Darwin Nunez.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is the subject of interest from Juventus, is expected to remain a Liverpool player next season.

Sky Sports News revealed earlier this month that Juventus are looking to make the Brazil international their top summer transfer target.

Ibrahima Konate's future is still to be sorted out. He is yet to sign a new contract. An extension was said to be close a few weeks ago but nothing has emerged since then.

Jamie Carragher slammed Ibrahima Konate's 'lazy' defending for when Arne Slot's side went 1-0 down against Fulham.

Remember that Jeremy Jacquet will become a Liverpool player this summer from Rennes - just before he turns 21 - in a £60m deal. He is the second-most expensive defender to join Liverpool.

But Jacquet himself has missed the back end of the season with a shoulder injury. Liverpool also have Geovanni Leoni to come back from his ACL injury.

Virgil van Dijk is still at Liverpool, as is Joe Gomez - who has just a year left on his contract. So there could be movement in that centre-back role.

Cover at left-back may be needed with Andy Robertson saying his goodbyes - although they also have Kostas Tsimikas returning from his loan spell.
