Crystal Palace have signed former Brazil goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri until the end of the season.
The 35-year-old played under Roy Hodgson at Liverpool, although he failed to make a Premier League appearance for the club, and has been a free agent since being released by Fluminense at the end of 2017.
Cavalieri has been added to Palace's 25-man Premier League squad following a successful trial period.
"I am very happy to be here and have been training with the guys for some time now," said Cavalieri, who won three caps for Brazil.
"The atmosphere in the dressing room has been really good and they have received me very well so we can talk a lot and get to know everyone. I am very happy with this opportunity."
Cavalieri began his career at Palmeiras in 2002, spending six years in Sao Paolo before he was signed by Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez for £3.5million.
He made 10 appearances during his two years at Anfield as back-up to Pepe Reina, keeping four clean sheets, and his last two outings came during Hodgson's spell in charge of the Reds.
Cavalieri had a short stint with Serie A side Cesena in 2010 before returning to his native Brazil with Fluminense, where he won a league title in 2012 and was called up to the national side.
He was a member of Brazil's Confederations Cup-winning squad in 2013 and made over 200 appearances for Fluminense before he was released at the end of last season.
