Bond secures three more for next season

Bournemouth trio Darren Anderton, Marvin Bartley and Jason Pearce have signed new contracts with the League Two side. Former Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Anderton has signed a one-year contract which will see the 36-year-old remain at Dean Court for a third season. Bartley, who partnered Anderton in Bournemouth's midfield during the last campaign, has also signed a new two-year deal having joined the club from non-league football last summer. The duo are joined by former Portsmouth defender Pearce, who extends his stay until 2010, meaning that manager Kevin Bond has now secured the futures of 13 senior players for the coming season. Chairman Jeff Mostyn has also begun negotiations with The Cherries' player-of-the-year, Danny Hollands, with a view to tying the 22-year old's future down in order to fend off interest from League One side Colchester United. Mostyn has already secured another player tipped for the exit door, Shaun Cooper, for the next campaign and is continuing the re-building of the recently-relegated South Coast club with a view to bringing them out of administration in the coming weeks.
