That went to Stanley in the 24th minute with Kelsey Mooney's header comfortable for Joe Day.

The Robins had a couple of first-half efforts but neither George Miller or Arkell Jude-Boyd could hit the target.

Cheltenham had a superb chance to break the deadlock after 62 minutes when Luke Young's free-kick found the head of captain Scot Bennett but he missed the goal from close range.

Tom Bradbury got the ball in the six-yard box for the Robins but fired over as Michael Flynn's side could not find the target with any of their nine chances.

The draw kept Cheltenham in mid-table while 19th-placed Stanley have an eight-point gap from the bottom two with one game in hand.
