WATCH: ARSENAL 1-0 NEWCASTLE
ARSENAL 1-0 NEWCASTLE
It's all over at the Emirates! Mesut Ozil's stunning first-half volley claims a first Premier League win in four for Arsenal, which sees them leapfrog Burnley into fourth. It was a spirited display from Newcastle but it was not enough to stop their dismal winless run, which extends to nine games and leaves them in the relegation zone. Stay tuned for highlights at 5.15pm.
90+4: Newcastle pile forward in search of an equaliser, the ball loops up into the air and Joselu tries an acrobatic overhead kick, but he catches Koscielny.
90+1: YELLOW! Xhaka catches Perez with an elbow and picks up a booking. It's cynical and you could argue it could have warranted a more severe punishment.
90: There will be FOUR minutes of added time at the Emirates.
89: SUB! Third and final change for Arsenal as Coquelin replaces Sanchez.
88: Well the game has really opened up now as Newcastle commit everyone forward. Arsenal try to exploit the space as Ozil leads a counter which ends with Giroud receiving the ball on the right, but his deflected effort is saved by Elliot.
86: YELLOW! Monreal is booked for a cynical tug on Joselu as the Newcastle striker tries to break up field.
82: CHANCE! Ritchie breaks down the right, cuts inside and floats a glorious ball into the area where Perez, unmarked at the back post, heads wide. Are Newcastle going to take one of these chances?!
81: SUB! Third and final change for Newcastle as Merino makes way for Diame.
81: CHANCE! Newcastle are well and truly in this game now as they continue to ask serious questions of the Arsenal defence. Although their finishing will need to be a lot better than the effort Perez just fired over at the back post.
80: CLOSE! Heart-in-mouth moment for Arsenal as Gayle brings the ball down in the area and plays it into the path of Joselu, whose low drive is deflected inches wide of the target by Koscielny.
77: Newcastle win a free-kick and send up the big men from the back, but a training ground move back fires as Merino aimlessly plays the ball behind for a goal kick.
75: CLOSE! The substitutions have an immediate effect as Giroud knocks Sanchez's deep cross down to Wilshere, but his fierce drive is well saved by Elliot.
72: SUBS! Double change for Arsenal as Welbeck and Giroud replace Iwobi and Lacazette, who throws his gloves to the ground in front of Arsene Wenger after being withdrawn.
71: There's a stoppage in play while Iwobi receives treatment for an injury, and the break allows the Gunners to utilise their bench for the first time.
69: Koscielny dives into a challenge on Perez with his studs showing but he gets all of the ball as the referee allows play to continue, despite the Newcastle protests.
67: SUB! Second change for Newcastle as Gayle replaces Murphy.
66: Great close control from Iwobi and he weaves his way around three defenders to get into the area, but his tame effort is comfortably saved by Elliot.
64: With the deficit just the one goal, Newcastle retain hope of getting something from this game. Ritchie has made an impact since coming from the bench and the visitors look a lot more dangerous on the attack.
61: Iwobi tries to add an audacious second, plucking a corner down in the area with one touch before firing an overhead kick towards goal, but his effort misses the target.
59: CHANCE! Huge chance for Arsenal! Iwobi flicks Lacazette through on goal, the flag stays down and he just has Elliot to beat, but his attempted chip drifts woefully over the target. Poor choice of shot and poor execution from the Frenchman.
57: SAVE! Newcastle have suddenly come to life here and they could be level. Murphy leads the charge down the left, sprinting clear before cutting inside two defenders and drawing Cech into a fine save with a low effort through bodies.
56: CHANCE! What an introduction this would have been! The ball is rolled into Ritchie's path on the edge of the area but the substitute fires a left-footed effort over the bar.
54: SUB! First change for Newcastle as Ritchie replaces Atsu.
53: Iwobi is challenged on the edge of the Newcastle area but the ball deflects towards goal, where Elliot gets down low to his right to save before scooping it clear as Iwobi tries to convert the rebound.
52: For all of their possession and dominance, one criticism you could highlight for Arsenal is their penchant for taking an extra touch for playing an extra pass - it's just letting this Newcastle side off the hook.
51: Arsenal come forward on the attack again as Sanchez is played into space on the left, but Newcastle's resolute rearguard force the Gunners to overplay it before Iwobi gives away possession.
49: CLOSE! Anxious moment for Newcastle as Sanchez is found inside the area. He drives towards the penalty spot where Atsu's attempted challenge deflects the ball inches wide of the post.
48: Arsenal fly out of the traps as they look for a second goal which would probably put the game beyond Newcastle, given their lack of goalscoring opportunities in the first period.
KICK-OFF! With both teams as they were, Arsenal get the second period under way at the Emirates.
ARSENAL v NEWCASTLE PRICE BOOSTS
Fancy Arsenal to go on and make hay in the second half? Sky Bet's live Price Boosts include the Gunners to win 3-0 enhanced from 7/2 to 4/1 and Alexandre Lacazette to score the 2nd goal at 9/2 (from 7/2).

Arsenal pile forward in search of a second but the referee cuts their attack short as he brings an end to the first half. Arsenal have been firmly on top and lead thanks to a piece of sheer brilliance from Mesut Ozil. However, despite being on the back foot, Newcastle have been compact at the back, preventing the Gunners from running away with the game. The real concern for Rafa Benitez, though, is his misfiring attack who haven't come close to scoring. Can they rekindle their goalscoring touch in the second period?
45+1: CLOSE! Wilshere tries to pick out Maitland-Niles on the left but his pass is cleared into the path of Sanchez, who fires a right-footed effort wide at the near post.
45: There will be TWO minutes of added time at the Emirates.
43: But will Newcastle restore parity? Atsu bursts down the right flank and wins a corner... it's whipped into the area where Monreal clears ahead of Merino, with the pair going on to clash heads. Both receive treatment before play resumes.
43: Arsenal seeing all of the ball here as they search for a way through the Newcastle defence and the chance to double their tally before the break.
40: YELLOW! Hayden picks up the first booking of the game for a late challenge from behind on Wilshere.
38: CHANCE! Arsenal come to life as they hit Newcastle on the counter as Ozil plays a lovely one-two with Lacazette to get in behind, but his chipped effort is turned behind by Lejeune.
33: Newcastle go in search of an equaliser as Murphy delivers a deep cross into the area, but Cech reads the flight of the ball well to pluck it out of the air.
32: Perez picks up the ball in midfield, spins away from Wilshere and drives towards to area until the Arsenal midfielder brings him to ground.
31: CLOSE! Arsenal are in the mood for another goal here as Wilshere rolls the ball into the path of Xhaka, but his skimming left-footed strike bobbles just wide of the target.
27: CHANCE! Arsenal are buoyant and are starting to enjoy themselves here as Sanchez picks out Bellerin at the back post with a floated cross, but the Spaniard is unable to control his volley like Ozil as his effort flashes over the bar.
Arsenal take the lead and are now 1/16 to win but Sky Bet have several in-play Price Boost offers to consider, including Ozil to add to his tally enhanced from 5/2 to 3/1.

GOAL! ARSENAL 1-0 NEWCASTLE (Ozil, 23)
Well I was calling for quality and that is exactly what Mesut Ozil has delivered! What a goal! Sanchez's deflected effort loops up into the air and Newcastle think they've cleared the danger, but the ball drops for Ozil whose stunning left-footed volley fires the Gunners into the lead in emphatic fashion!
ARSENAL 0-0 NEWCASTLE
22: It's been a fairly subdued start for both sides here, with the Gunners are lacking the quality needed in the final third to break down their opponents who are putting everyone behind the ball.
20: Ozil's hefty touch on the edge of the area gives Hayden the chance to win the ball back for Newcastle, which he does as he carries the ball deep into Arsenal territory.
18: Ozil floats the set piece into the Newcastle area but the visitors stand firm and clear their lines with ease.
17: Merino cynically handles the ball in midfield, handing the Gunners a free-kick which Ozil will deliver into the area.
