O'Flynn could return, Thompson a doubt

League Two table-toppers Notts County travel to Barnet on Saturday hoping to end the Bees' unbeaten run at three games. Barnet have recovered from a shaky start to make an early climb towards the top of the table, while the Magpies looks set for a strong title challenge after signing Sol Campbell in the week. Bees boss Ian Hendon could be boosted by the return of star striker John O'Flynn, who has not played yet this season after breaking his foot during the summer However, the 27-year-old Irishman was named the bench against Torquay last weekend and could well make a return to action on Saturday. Assistant manager Gary Breen may take to the pitch for the first time this season after a recovering from a knee injury, while Kenny Gillet could also return.

    Knocks

Left-back Gillet missed the victory against Torquay with a hamstring injury but is back in full training and will be looking to win his place back from Ahmed Deen. Defenders Dan Leach (dead leg) and Joe Devera (ankle) are both nursing knocks but have been made available for selection as Hendon goes in search of a third consecutive win. Despite the hype surrounding County's signing of Campbell, the former England centre-back is not expected to be selected for another few weeks while he builds up his fitness. But manager Ian McParland could have to contend with a major injury blow as captain John Thompson has picked up a hamstring strain and a late decision on his fitness will have to be made. Defender Graeme Lee is continuing his recovery from groin surgery and will not start while former Barnet skipper Neal Bishop is set for his first return to Underhill since turning down a new contract offer in the summer.
