Image: Jon Toral: Struggling with a knee injury

Birmingham midfielder Jon Toral is doubtful for the Sky Bet Championship visit of Sheffield Wednesday.

The 20-year-old Spaniard, who is on loan from Arsenal, suffered a knee injury in a challenge from Bristol City's Nathan Baker last weekend.

Forward Diego Fabbrini could make his first start since rejoining the club in a B#1.5million deal from Watford while loan defender Ryan Shotton might make his debut.

Midfielder David Cotterill is still troubled by a hamstring injury while defender Neal Eardley (knee) is out for the rest of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Tom Lees could return to contention after a two-month injury lay-off.

Centre-half Lees has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury in early December but was back in action for the development side in midweek and may be included in the squad.

Fellow defender Michael Turner featured in the same development game and could also be back in contention. He returned for the recent FA Cup defeat at Shrewsbury after being out since mid-December due to a knee injury, but missed the midweek draw with Burnley.
