Max Clark's penalty eight minutes into stoppage time completed a rousing Gillingham comeback as they drew 2-2 at Bromley to stay top of League Two.

The hosts came flying out of the traps, Nicke Kabamba swivelling and shooting home from the edge of the area to give them a seventh-minute lead.

Bromley doubled their advantage five minutes later, Michael Cheek heading in Idris Odutayo's inch-perfect cross.

It should have been three midway through the half, but first Glenn Morris and then Robbie McKenzie denied Kabamba and Cheek respectively.

Josh Andrews had a golden chance to pull a goal back just before half-time, but he could not beat Grant Smith.

He did get the better of the goalkeeper early in the second half, however, heading in from a long throw after a spell of sustained pressure.

Cheek then hit a post at the other end as the game went from end to end.

In time added on Grant Smith denied Jonny Smith, but he could do nothing about Clark's equaliser from the spot after bringing down Garath McCleary.
