Promotion-chasing Bury were stunned by a late equaliser as Crawley hit back to earn a 1-1 draw.
When Nicky Maynard pounced to hand the Shakers the lead in the 84th minute, it looked as though the hosts had won it.
However, Ollie Palmer squeezed home a shot from the tightest of angles in the 88th minute to earn the Sussex outfit a share of the spoils.
Crawley threatened first when Panutche Camara back-heeled smartly into Filipe Morais's path, but his shot was blocked by Adam Thompson.
Bury wide-man Nicky Adams then forced keeper Glenn Morris into a terrific save after a neat one-two with Maynard. The same pair combined again when Maynard glanced a header wide after rising to meet Adams' outswinging free-kick.
Shortly before the break Maynard arrowed in a 25-yard strike which Morris saved comfortably, and three minutes after the restart he dragged a shot narrowly wide after latching onto Jay O'Shea's through-ball.
Callum McFadzean also went close for the hosts, driving narrowly over the angle of post and crossbar.
Maynard converted Thompson's knock-down with six minutes left, but Crawley were not to be denied.
