Girona's winless run in La Liga extended to five games after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Celta Vigo on Friday.
A frantic start at Balaidos saw four goals scored in the opening 16 minutes but Juanpe cancelled out Daniel Wass' second-half free-kick to earn a share of the spoils.
Juan Carlos Unzue's side were ahead after eight minutes when Pione Sisto connected with Wass' dinked cross to head home at the back post.
The hosts' lead lasted just two minutes, though, as Portu prodded in Johan Mojica's cross to score Girona's first goal in five league games.
They did not have to wait long for their next, just four minutes in fact, as Cristhian Stuani stooped to head Girona in front from close range.
The spectacular start continued as the Catalan side were pegged back by Maximiliano Gomez's precise finish in the 16th minute.
Girona fell behind once more with 14 minutes remaining as Wass powered home a free-kick from 30 yards but Juanpe had the final say in the 86th minute.
