Celtic could move four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they host Hamilton on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers' men beat St Mirren 4-0 in midweek to stay top ahead of Kilmarnock, who face a tricky trip to Aberdeen on Saturday.

Hamilton sit just two points off the bottom, having lost 15 of their last 20 matches and won none of their last eight, losing seven of those. Boss Martin Canning is under scrutiny following their dramatic dip in form, but feels an unlikely result is possible if his players believe.

"If you go there doubting yourself or lacking that little bit of confidence, good players sense that, and they can really punish you," he said.

"We have got to go there with the belief that we can get something from the game, everyone working hard, the concentration high, and approaching that game no different to how we would normally approach those games, and see if we can take something from it."

    Team news

Rodgers did expect Dedryck Boyata to be available for Saturday's game after missing the midweek win with a groin strain, but he hasn't recovered in time.

Kieran Tierney is expected back the beginning of February after injury (hip).
