Luke Molyneux's first-half penalty saw Doncaster claim a 1-0 win in a closely-fought Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield.

Molyneux struck from the spot on 34 minutes after Bali Mumba handled inside the area.

Doncaster enjoyed the better of the first half but the momentum was with the visitors after the break.

Town struggled however to test Rovers keeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala throughout the game.

Defender Murray Wallace headed over the bar for Huddersfield early in the first half and Lynden Gooch sent a dangerous delivery straight into the grasp of Lo-Tutala as Huddersfield piled on the pressure in the second half.

Chances were few and far between, however, with the only Huddersfield threat coming from crosses that were not capitalised upon.

Doncaster skipper Owen Bailey drew a good save from Lee Nicholls in the late stages as they looked to strike on the break.

Huddersfield almost snatched a point deep into added time when substitute Cameron Ashia flashed the ball across goal but no team-mate could make a decisive connection.
