Brandon Hanlan’s second-half strike rescued a point for Doncaster in a 1-1 SkyBet League One draw with Luton after Kasey Palmer’s first goal for the Hatters had put them on course for a first win in six league games.
Palmer struck for Town after 27 minutes but Hanlan levelled on the hour mark and although they laid siege to the visitors' goal, they did not do enough to find a winner but did move a point further away from the drop zone.
Great play by Hanlan down the right wing in the second minute set up Glenn Middleton, whose shot was punched away by Luton keeper Josh Keeley, with Middleton then dragging a shot wide.
Matty Pearson headed straight at Keeley from Robbie Gotts' free-kick, before Luton took the lead with their first real effort on goal. Palmer strode forward unchallenged through the centre and hit a speculative shot past Zander Clark from 25 yards.

Pearson then missed a gilt-edged chance for Rovers, heading Jack Senior's cross wide from five yards out just before the break.
Early in the second half, Keeley flung himself to his left to keep out Middleton's free-kick, while Clark did likewise at the other end, denying Liam Walsh.
Rovers were level on the hour mark when Owen Bailey's flicked header from a long ball out of defence put Hanlan in on goal and he drove his shot past Keeley.
Doncaster almost went in front five minutes later but Joe Johnson desperately cleared Hanlan's prodded shot off his own goalline.
Rovers piled forward, sensing the kill, and sub Harry Clifton saw Keeley push his powerful effort behind, with Luton bravely clinging onto a point.
