Highlights from La Liga as Barcelona hit four past Eibar at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar all scored in Barcelona's 4-0 rout at Eibar on Sunday evening.

Denis Suarez's first ever goal for Barcelona fired the visitors in front at half-time before the famed front-three did the damage after the break with one goal apiece.

Messi's deft touch doubled Barcelona's lead, handing the Argentine his 15th La Liga goal of the season - a tally matched by Luis Suarez soon after.

Neymar then showed great composure late on to score his first league goal since October, with the win putting Barcelona two points behind Real Madrid, who have a game in hand.

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets had to be stretchered off at Eibar with sprained ligaments in his right ankle.

Barcelona got off to a slow start at La Liga's smallest stadium, and it was compounded by the injury to Sergio Busquets which saw the midfielder stretchered off after 10 minutes.

The first real chance of the match fell to Luis Suarez, but the forward showed little composure when firing over after Lionel Messi's delightful through ball.

Eibar then had a hat-trick of chances to break the deadlock, firstly through Gonzalo Escalante, but the Argentinian could only shoot straight at Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The Barcelona 'keeper then got down smartly to deny Adrian Gonzalez from 20 yards out, before keeping out Pedro Leon's effort.

Having replaced the injured Busquets, it was Denis Suarez who handed Barcelona the lead - rifling home a low effort from 20 yards out after Messi's initial attempt was blocked.

Moments before the break, Luis Suarez was then played through on goal but struck the inside of the post from a narrow angle.

After half-time, Barcelona moved up another gear and Messi got his goal after 50 minutes - playing a one-two with Luis Suarez before calmly allowing the ball to fall onto his left foot before playing it under Yoel for his 28th goal in 26 games this season.

Luis Suarez then got on the scoresheet himself with a goal all of his own doing - the Uruguayan picking the pocket of last-man Florian Lejeune before slotting it beyond Yoel at the near post.

Eibar were not to be deterred despite the scoreline, and went close to scoring a consolation through Fran Rico and Pedro Leon.
