Teenage Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite could get another chance against Bournemouth after impressing in his first Premier League start.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti turned to the 18-year-old for Monday night's 1-0 win at Sheffield United with Mason Holgate (shin) and Yerry Mina (thigh) injured, and with the pair, as well as Fabian Delph (muscle problem) still out, he could keep his place.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will hope for a final chance to end his goal drought this season having not found the back of the net in his last nine outings.

Bournemouth need an incredible amount of luck, they have to go for it - there's no other way round it. Everton are unpredictable, they can be a soft touch and then you look at them against Aston Villa and they come alive with 10 minutes to go. You look and think, why have you got so many good players and just seem to blow up?

I think this'll be a cracking game because Bournemouth have to chase it. I just don't see them doing it, though, I think it's too late for them, and they will lose goals.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 3-2 (18/1 with Sky Bet)

Opta stats

  • Everton have won all four of their Premier League home games against Bournemouth, netting at least twice each time (12 goals in total).
  • There have been 35 goals scored in nine Premier League meetings between Everton and Bournemouth (3.9 per game). Among fixtures to have been played at least eight times in the competition, only Blackburn v Nottingham Forest has a higher goals-per-game ratio (4.0 - 40 in 10).
  • If Bournemouth fail to win, they will be relegated to the Championship, ending their five-year stay in the Premier League. They would become the first team to have ended a day in the top three of the Premier League after at least five games of a season and be relegated.
  • Everton are unbeaten in all nine of their Premier League home games under Carlo Ancelotti - no Everton manager in their top-flight history has remained unbeaten in their opening 10 home league games in charge.
