Hearts have two players missing for Sunday's Scottish Premiership opener against champions Celtic at Tynecastle, live on Sky Sports.

Skipper Alim Ozturk is ruled out through suspension as he serves a one-match ban carried over from last season, while US midfielder Perry Kitchen continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Head coach Robbie Neilson is still waiting to receive clearance from FIFA to complete the signing of striker Bjorn Johnsen but is hopeful the deal will go through next week.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers must do without the services of Patrick Roberts for his first taste of domestic action in the Scottish Premiership.

The on-loan Manchester City winger damaged his hamstring in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Astana and is looking at up to three weeks on the sidelines.

And there will be no place in the squad for midfielder Nir Bitton who continues to recover from the ankle injury he suffered in last week's friendly against Barcelona in Dublin.

However, Rodgers was boosted by the news last season's top goalscorer Leigh Griffiths will be fit for the Sky Live clash after he picked up a slight knock towards the end of the match against Astana.
