Michael Luftner beat Gianluigi Donnarumma with a brilliant strike from distance

Gianluigi Donnarumma might be regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe, but there was little he could do to stop a superb long-range strike at the European U21 Championship on Tuesday.

Michael Luftner arrowed a shot from distance into the corner to secure a 3-1 victory for Czech Republic against Italy.

The goal sees Czech Republic move on to three points alongside Italy in Group C.

Italy had been on level terms after Domenico Berardi cancelled out Michael Travnik's opener. However, substitute Marek Havlik restored Czech Republic's lead before Luftner's late strike made sure of the result.

The final round of group matches start on Thursday, with England facing hosts Poland and Slovakia taking on Sweden. England are on four points and will qualify from Group A as winners if they beat Poland.
