QPR midfielder Ben Gladwin has rejoined Swindon on loan - just four months after he left.
The 23-year-old moved to Loftus Road in the summer along with Robins team-mate Massimo Luongo, but has made just three appearances.
Nevertheless, director of football Les Ferdinand insists Gladwin has a future at Rangers.
"For his education, it's important that Ben continues to play first-team football," Ferdinand told the club website. "Under-21 football isn't as competitive.
"An injury has meant he's subsequently struggled for game time, and we thought this was a great opportunity for him to get some games and come back fit and ready to go again.
"He's only away for a month. And when he comes back, I'm sure he'll be raring to go. He's still got a massive future at QPR."
Meanwhile, Swindon have signed El-Abd on loan until January.
The 31-year-old, comfortable at either right-back or centre-half, is expected to go straight into Mark Cooper's squad for Saturday's home game against Peterborough.
El-Abd, who has not featured for his parent club this season, spent the last five months of the 2014/15 campaign on loan at Bury.
He started his career at Brighton and made 300 senior appearances for his home-town club before joining Bristol City for an undisclosed fee in January 2014.
