Charlton have announced the signing of former West Ham forward Ricardo Vaz Te on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old has been without a club since leaving Turkish side Akhisar Belediyespor in the summer and has signed a deal to keep him at The Valley until the end of the season.
Vaz Te trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Friday and could make his Charlton debut against Birmingham City at St Andrew's on November 21.
The Portuguese began his career with Sporting Club Farense before joining then-Premier League side Bolton Wanderers in 2003.
He spent seven years with the Trotters - mainly under the management of Sam Allardyce - before enjoying spells with Panionios, Hibernian and Barnsley.
After netting 12 goals for Barnsley during the first half of the 2011/12 Championship season, Vaz Te was reunited with Allardyce at West Ham.
Vaz Te scored a further 12 goals in 18 matches - including the winner in the 2-1 play-off final victory over Blackpool - as the Hammers sealed promotion back to the top-flight.
