Chris Herd extends deal with Chesterfield

Chris Herd will remain with Chesterfield for the remainder of the season after extending his deal with the Sky Bet League 1 club.
Herd was brought to the Proact Stadium in September by former manager Dean Saunders, signing a short-term contract until January.
The ex-Aston Villa midfielder has impressed new boss Danny Wilson in his three matches in charge and will now see out the 2015/16 campaign with the Spireites.
Herd, 26, played 42 times for Villa and spent time on loan at Bolton and Wigan last season.
