Dundee captain Kevin Thomson has made a surprise exit from the club after being released by mutual consent.
The former Hibernian, Rangers and Middlesbrough midfielder has made 11 starts for Paul Hartley's side this season before coming off the bench in this month's 2-1 derby win over Dundee United.
Thomson joined Dundee in the summer of 2014 after being released by Hibs.
In a statement, the club said: "Dundee Football Club can confirm that Kevin Thomson has left the club by mutual consent.
"We would like to thank Kevin for his contribution during his time at Dens and wish him all the best with the next stage of his career."
