Oxford have made their second deadline-day signing following the capture of Wolves winger Zeli Ismail on a one-month loan deal.
The 22-year-old follows Chris Maguire, who signed a deal until the end of the season following his release from Rotherham, through the door as head coach Michael Appleton bolsters his attacking options for their Sky Bet League 2 promotion push.
Ismail, a former England Under-16 and 17 international, has previously enjoyed loan spells at MK Dons, Notts County and Burton.
Appleton told the club's official website: "He is an exciting young player. I've seen him play a number of times over the years and know what a clever player he can be, and he always causes problems for the opposition.
"With Chris Maguire also back with us we feel we have strengthened a couple of important areas today and brought in quality players at a key stage of the season."
Meanwhile, midfielder Danny Rose has left the club by mutual consent.
Appleton said: "Danny is a fantastic pro and we have been honest with each other. He has struggled for match time since September really, and we both feel that it is best for him to try his luck elsewhere. He leaves with our best wishes."
