Chesterfield have made Tom Anderson their third signing of transfer deadline day.
The 22-year-old Burnley defender will spend the rest of the season with the Spireites.
Anderson, who made eight appearances for Carlisle last season, joins midfield duo Connor Dimaio and Gary Liddle in arriving at the Sky Bet League 1 club on Monday.
Chief executive Chris Turner told Chesterfield's official website: "I am very pleased with the business we have done before the transfer deadline. We have brought in three players who will strengthen the defensive and midfield areas of the squad."
