Middlesbrough's Cristhian Stuani charged for alleged violent conduct

Middlesbrough forward Cristhian Stuani has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct during Saturday's 1-0 victory over Preston.

The Uruguay international was involved in an incident in the 54th minute of the Sky Bet Championship game at the Riverside which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

Stuani, who has scored 10 goals for Boro this season, has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge, although the club have confirmed they will be lodging an appeal.
