Barnsley have reached an agreement to sign midfielder George Moncur from Colchester.
The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for Moncur, 22, who scored 14 goals in 51 appearances for Colchester last season.
"Barnsley Football Club is delighted to confirm Colchester United midfielder George Moncur has agreed personal terms at Oakwell following agreement of the transfer fee with the U's," the South Yorkshire club said on their official website.
Moncur is a product of West Ham's academy but made only two first-team appearances before signing a permanent deal with Colchester in August 2014.
He has also had loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and Scottish side Partick and scored in both Sky Bet League One encounters between Colchester and Barnsley last season.
Barnsley won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs, while Colchester were relegated after finishing second bottom in League One.
