Gillingham have signed winger Lee Martin on a permanent deal and Cardiff defender Deji Oshilaja is back at Priestfield on loan.

Martin, a former Manchester United trainee, joins the Gills after four years at Sky Bet Championship club Ipswich. The 29-year-old, who has also had spells with Charlton and Millwall, has signed a two-year contract.

Commanding centre-back Deji Oshilaja has returned to the League One side on a season-long deal. The 23-year-old made 25 appearances during two loan spells with Gillingham last season.

Gills manager Justin Edinburgh told the club's official website: "For me, Lee's a Championship player. I think we've secured a real talent, somebody who can change games.

"He's a wide player, but he can play in the number 10 role, too, so he gives us options. He's got a wealth of experience, which will help this young group, and we're delighted to bring him to the club.

"I think we all know Deji's qualities. He's a fantastic centre-half and he and Max Ehmer will form a formidable partnership this season. He played out of position towards the end of last season because of injuries, but he didn't shirk that responsibility and that shows what he's all about."
