Huddersfield midfielder Kyle Dempsey has joined Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood on loan until the end of the season.

Dempsey, 20, yet to feature in Huddersfield head coach David Wagner's first-team squad this season, could be recalled by his parent club in January under the terms of the loan.

"Kyle is a talented young player and his development is very important to us," Wagner told Huddersfield's official website.

"We cannot offer him regular football at the moment, but that is what he needs for his continued improvement now.

"I talked very honestly with Kyle about the possibility of a loan, but it was important that the club he joined had to be right.

"Fleetwood plays a similar style of football to us and I believe Kyle will thrive in Uwe (Rosler's) system."
