Oxford have made deadline-day swoops for Motherwell winger Marvin Johnson and Chesterfield's Charlie Raglan.
Johnson, 25, has joined the Sky Bet League One side on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee, while defender Raglan has signed on loan until January.
Speaking about Johnson's arrival, boss Michael Appleton told Oxford's official website: "We were aware that a number of clubs have been interested and are delighted that he will be an Oxford player.
"He is a player that excites the fans because he is fast, he has a trick and his first instinct is to go forward, take players on and create chances.
"It has taken a while for us to get our man but we can't wait to start working with him."
