Ipswich have signed Macclesfield winger Danny Rowe for an undisclosed fee, the club have announced.

The 24-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Tractor Boys after impressing in the Vanarama National League.

Rowe, who will be unavailable to face Preston in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday, scored six goals in 28 league appearances for Macclesfield to catch the eye of Mick McCarthy.

Speaking to the club website, Rowe said: "It's been a hectic few days. I was told that Ipswich were interested in me earlier in the week and I drove down today once I was told it had all been agreed.

"It's an exciting move for me, joining a massive club like Ipswich and I can't wait to get going.
