Wigan have announced the signing of striker Mikael Mandron from Eastleigh for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half-year contract after scoring 15 goals in all competitions since joining the non-league outfit last summer.

Mandron came through Sunderland's youth academy and went on to make three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Black Cats before having loan spells at Fleetwood, Shrewsbury and Hartlepool.
