Two new signings for Port Vale

Port Vale have been bolstered by the additions of Blackpool's Danny Pugh and Celtic's Leonardo Fasan to their squad.

Pugh has joined on a contract until the end of the season after his deal at the Tangerines was terminated in order to make the move to Vale Park.

It is the 34-year-old's ninth club of his career after he came through the youth ranks at Manchester United before moving onto Leeds, Preston, Stoke, Coventry and Bury in addition to a loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday in 2013.

Italian goalkeeper Fasan has joined on loan for the rest of the season and will compete with Ryan Boot and Harry Pickering for the number-one shirt.

The 23-year-old has yet to make a single appearance for the reigning Ladbrokes Premiership champions but has been a mainstay in the club's Under-23 side.
