Aston Villa's Leandro Bacuna will serve a six-match suspension following his dismissal in the game against Derby County

Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna has been given a six-match suspension for abusing a match official.

The incident occurred during Villa's 1-0 victory over Derby in the Championship on February 25.

Bacuna was dismissed following an altercation with assistant referee Mark Russell during stoppage-time at Villa Park.

The 25-year-old will not be available for Villa until April 8, when they host Burton in the Championship.

Bacuna will be ruled out of the matches against Rotherham, Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan, Norwich and QPR.
