On-loan defender Medhi Benatia has signed a contract that will keep him at Juventus for three more seasons after the club exercised an option to purchase his full rights from Bayern Munich for 17m euros.
The 30-year-old Morocco captain has been playing for Juventus on a 3m euros (£2.5m) season-long loan from the German champions, making 18 appearances for the Serie A leaders and Champions League finalists.
The centre-half, who came through the Marseille academy system, was signed by Bayern for 26m euros (£22m) from Roma in the summer of 2014.
"Since I arrived I've always expressed my desire to stay at Juventus and I hope our future is filled with successes," Benatia said after signing the deal to extend his stay in Turin.
Joining a stellar backline that features the likes of Italian international defenders Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci, Benatia has also contributed by notching one league goal and featuring five times in Juve's run to the Champions League final.
The Old Lady require just a draw in their clash at second-placed Roma on Sunday to clinch a record sixth straight Serie A title.
