Britt Assombalonga says he is not concerned by being Middlesbrough's record signing, as it's the third time he's been in that position

Britt Assombalonga says he is not feeling the pressure of being Middlesbrough's club-record signing.

The forward joined Boro from Nottingham Forest for £15m last week - eclipsing the £12.8m paid to sign Afonso Alves in 2008 - and penned a five-year deal at the Riverside.

Assombalonga has previously broken the transfer record at former clubs Peterborough and Forest and insists he is once again ready to take the new price tag in his stride.

West Brom have had two bids turned down for Middlesbrough captain Ben Gibson, according to Sky sources.

"You can't control the money side and negotiating of the clubs, I am just here to play my football and contribute with my goals. That's the main thing about it," Assombalonga, who scored 30 goals in 69 appearances for Forest, told Sky Sports News.

"I have broken transfer records twice already, at Peterborough and Nottingham Forest, I've gone well past the stage of the pressure.
