Rangers have confirmed they have terminated Niko Kranjcar's contract by mutual agreement.

The former Croatia international joined the Scottish Premiership side from New York Cosmos in 2016 but has endured a injury-hit two years at Ibrox.

The 33-year-old's persistent knee injury limited him to just 26 appearances in total for the club - including 11 this season - scoring three goals.

"It's been an honour to have been part of such a big club and played for such great fans, it will always remain an honour," he told Rangers' official website.

"I wish the club success in its future while I now consider the options I have on the table."
